Criminal issues include assessment of capacity, fitness to understand proceedings and plead, psychological status at the time of an alleged offence, risk assessments, and psychological and cognitive issues in mitigation and sentencing.
Criminal cases have included unlawful killing, sexual assault, fraud and physical assault. These have been with adults and adolescents.
Family issues include cognitive/intellectual functioning, psychological disorder, capacity, risk of harm and violence, treatment viability.
Civil issues include personal injury/PTSD, symptom validity (feigning psychological disorder or cognitive impairment), treatment viability, employment tribunal proceedings.
Psychology Assessments Ltd operates in conjunction with The Drive Clinic. We can provide specialist expert reports regarding injury resulting from road traffic accidents. Such reports can address the full range of civil liability issues: effects of an accident, treatment options and viability, prognosis. Where necessary, we can advise on neuropsychological investigations that may be required.
